This 200-year-old building has spent much of its previous life as a school. It was in a rather sorry state when the current owners took it on and completely renovated it, opening it as a smart boutique hotel around 2007. The modern bar servery is conveniently placed adjacent to reception, where you can enjoy a pint seated on one of the comfortable bar stools. To the right of this is the main Restaurant area, which leads into an airy conservatory-style room overlooking the very attractive new spa building. This latter, recently added attraction, allows visitors (for a charge, obviously), to even enjoy a pint while relaxing in a Hot Tub! Another room, to the left of reception, is the Bistro with comfy seating. The food times given are for lunchtime meals and evening bar snacks; sandwiches are available at all times, and a la carte meals are also offered in the evening.
