Old pub offering five cask beers and meals, in a particularly picturesque location on the River Severn upstream of Thomas Telford's bridge. It can be identified by its flower-filled hanging baskets and riverside tables in summer. In the warmer months the pub stays open through weekday afternoons. A friendly pub that welcomes locals and visitors, serving beers from Bewdley, Timothy Taylor, Wye Valley and a changing beer. A la carte and set menus are available in the restaurant, bar meals are available at lunchtimes, and Sunday Lunches. Pizzas may be available after main food service hours during summer. There are cosy settles and a log fire in the lounge bar in winter, and at the back is a sun terrace and glass-covered patio entwined with grape vines and wisteria next to a fish pond. Major sporting events are sometimes shown on a discrete TV. For visitors to Bewdley, the pub has six en-suite rooms.
