At the end of the High Street next to the the canal, the pub is a free house supplied by Wye Valley Brewery and local breweries, and offers a changing selection of excellent quality beers. The main bar has a real fire, low beamed ceilings and cosy corners. Upstairs, the additional seating area and function room was originally a chapel and retains many recognisable features and windows. At the back the beer garden has a shelter, tables and raised flower beds and overlooks the canal. Moorings are just through the bridge towards the basins. The varied menu includes doorstep sandwiches, baguettes, steaks, fish, vegan and vegetarian meals and everything in between. Food is served all week except on Mondays and on Sunday evenings. Beers are from Wye Valley plus five guest ales and two ciders on hand pull. It won Wyre Forest CAMRA Silver Pub of the Year 2018 and Gold in 2020 for its friendly welcome, lively atmosphere, music events and excellent quality beers. Cycles can be locked to bars at the top of the slope from the towpath. Level access to all areas on the ground floor, stepped access to WCs (not adapted).
