Canal-side pub with a large car park. A traditional cosy bar, with an open fire, leads off the central passageway with a lounge to the rear. In summer the lock-side beer garden is popular with visitors and meals can be eaten outside. 'Gongoozling' the boats as they pass through the lock is a popular past-time on sunny days. Two local cask beers are offered, one of which is a mild, the other is usually selected based on customer suggestions/requests. Meals are served all week and traditional roast dinners on Sunday. The car park is controlled by ANPR cameras and is free for pub customers (register at the bar).
