The Post House was refurbished in 2022 by Davenports and celebrates Sir Roland Hill, founder of the postal service who lived nearby. The name changed from the Red Man. A central bar serves separate areas of a large single room, with meal tables, bench seating and a conservatory. The extensive patio and garden area at the back has a gazebo and an enclosed play area for children. Food, cooked on the premises, is available until 7pm every day (6pm on Sundays). The menu includes main meals, light bites, salads, sandwiches, burgers, vegetarian and gluten-free options. Weekend evenings host bands, DJs and solo vocals (see Facebook) also during bank holiday charity fundraising events. Beers are from Davenports rotating on a single handpump with Doom Bar. Davenport's Rip (Real India Pale) is available on tap.
