See more about this pub on WhatPub, CAMRA's national pub guide.
Freehouse with a wide selection of permanent beers that are joined by guests from all over, plus two draught ciders. Mismatched furniture, nooks and crannies, newspapers and foliage provide a homely environment but equally encourage people to visit, making the pub busy throughout the week. Several fires burn brightly in winter. Quality food served in the bar and separate restaurant. Level access to restaurant but not to main bar. Large covered heated outdoor area to the front; quiet garden hidden away at the rear. A 'no swearing' rule is enforced. Car park small but ample parking on street. Dogs are welcome and numerous.
