An old oak beamed pub dating from 1601 and mentioned in Cromwell's dispatches. Low ceilings and many small rooms and alcoves, both inside and out in the garden patio. A few tables are at the front too. The bar, featuring a large fireplace and range, is separate from the restaurant area. Sandwiches and a full menu are available. A wood-panelled function room (the Oak Room) is available for meetings and parties.
