Village local down quiet lane off main road, recently rescued from closure by a strong local campaign and bought in 2017 by the landlord. Pretty black and white exterior; cosy interior with logburner. One, or occasionally two, guest beers frequently locally sourced are available. Separate eating area for the very good home made food, though you can also eat in the bar. Large and attractively laid out garden with country views and play area for children featuring a chicken run. Regular live music and annual blues festival, and popular events like Fireworks Night. Guest cider in the summer. Camping and caravan site in the grounds.
