Very large, modern hotel (opened 2012), located on the landscaped St. George’s Park, home of the English Football Association’s National Football Centre (www.thefa.com/st-georges-park). The large, opulent lounge bar, The Crossbar, with its 'arty' high ceiling, is accessed off the main reception area. Not surprisingly, the walls are adorned with football-related framed photographs and a huge wall-mounted TV. A limited range of bar snacks, hot meals and desserts (plus afternoon tea) are available; the nearby restaurant offers more extensive menus. The hotel also features a health spa, with gym and swimming pool. There are walking and jogging trails (up to 5km) around St. Georges Park (map available).
