See more about this pub on WhatPub, CAMRA's national pub guide.
This late Victorian brick-built privately-owned free-house, with its warm friendly atmosphere, is now the only pub left in the village. The comfortable public bar and smart cosy lounge both feature open fires and beamed ceilings. An interesting encased model of a Burton union brewing system can be found in the public bar.
Fairly standard pub food, from snacks to main meals; limited to filled cobs and hips on Sundays.
Bingo on alternate Wednesday evenings; open mic night Thursday. Meeting place for local book club and falconry club. The National Forest Forestry Centre is located about half-a-mile away.
