Grade II listed coaching inn dating back to 1745, although the building is thought to be even older, with links to Burton Abbey. The interior was substantially furbished in 2025. The public bar retains some old wooden beams and an assortment of memorabilia. Beyond the bar is the dining area. The pub offers pub meals and live music (see Facebook).
