This friendly local, dating back to the 19th century and a former Ind Coope pub, has been a privately-owned free house since 1985.
The busy main bar, with its beamed ceiling, is at the front of the pub, beyond which is a restaurant which features a popular carvery. Pie night Wednesday. Live music some Friday evenings.
Multi-level beer garden at rear comprising patios (part covered) and lawn, with some comfy garden seating under cover, plus picnic tables elsewhere; barbeque facilities; enclosed children’s play area. A semi-permanent marquee houses a pool table and projector TV. Additional small patio, with picnic tables, at front.
Accommodation is in an adjacent "motel" under the same ownership, and breakfasts are available Tuesday-Saturday 7.30am-11am.
The Leatherbritches Brewery is situated in a corner of the same site and supplies house beers to the pub.
