See more about this pub on WhatPub, CAMRA's national pub guide.

Attractive two-roomed locals pub with half-timbered front. While part of the building is reported to date back to the 16th-century, and it appears to have been a blacksmith's cottage in 1881, the earliest record as a pub is 1914. The public bar and extended lounge, on either side of a central serving area, both feature beamed ceilings. The lounge extension is used for dining (the Bit 'n' Cherry Restaurant); steak night Tuesday; Sunday 'brunch' 9.30am to 11.30am. Outdoor drinking in small garden at rear and on seats at front. Accommodation is in converted outbuildings at the rear.
