Basic but friendly traditional 19th-century pub, bedecked with flowers in spring and summer, close to the Trent & Mersey Canal. New licensees (since October 2023) have maintained the 'top notch' beer quality!

Still known by locals as the Vine, its former name, it features a main bar with small linked rooms at each end, and a beer garden at the rear with a sheltered decking area and lawn. Outdoor drinking (with picnic tables) is also possible at the front of the pub and and across the road on an enclosed patio by the side of the canal.

Boaters (obviously!), cyclists and walkers are welcome.
