A former 19th-century coaching inn close to the parish church, this lively locals pub has been run by the same couple since 1988. The open plan interior has four distinct segments: two seating areas close to the bar, a smart 'lounge' area, and a games section with pool table and dart board. Memorabilia everywhere, including an encased model of a Burton Union System. Strong pub games tradition, with several teams. The pub also has its own football team, and a Pigeon Club is based here.
