Originally the George Hotel, a seventeenth century coaching inn, with various alterations and additions. The building was divided into several areas including a formal dining room. Until December 2014 the hotel belonged to Slater's Brewery and was the brewery tap. It closed for refurbishment on the 5th January 2015. The Little George opened on 28th July 2017 occupying part of the George Hotel site as a high quality cafe/bar. "Serving beers from around the World, locally brewed ales, carefully curated spirits, speciality coffees and deli sandwiches to die for". Dogs welcome. From 9am a full range of coffees, teas, cakes, pastries and sandwiches are available, light meals, breakfasts, snacks & nibbles are served during opening hours. Bent's Monty is brewed by Lymestone to an original Bent's recipe. The changing beers can be from anywhere, beers from the nearby Izaak Walton Brewery often feature.
