A grade 11 listed building having historic links to the Earl of Shrewsbury and the Talbot family, believed to date back to the 17th century. Re-opened in June 2018 after having been closed and derelict for 16 years. Owned by the adjacent Alton Bridge Hotel with whom it shares facilities such as car parking and pub garden. A warm and comfortable pub. A carvery is served every Sunday lunchtime. 5 Handpulls always on offer. Fitted out in an olde worlde style.
