Mid 18th century red brick building with a mid 19th century pentice moulded wood inn front with slate roof. Impressive etched windows. Inside there are three rooms stretching back through the building. There's a piano in the bar. It offers one permanent cask ale and occasionally a guest. Sandwiches are available on Saturdays. Music entertainment is a regular feature as the manager is a musician. Table skittles and darts available.
