See more about this pub on WhatPub, CAMRA's national pub guide.
Built in 1777 and situated just a short distance from the town centre, this fine looking building was once the first bank in Uttoxeter. The original bank vault is still in position in what is now the restaurant but instead of cash it now contains condiments. The hotel has conference facilities and boasts an impressive unsupported oak staircase. Its seventeen en-suite bedrooms make the Bank House a handy sojourn for visitors to nearby Uttoxeter racecourse. The restaurant serves traditional English pub meals at competitive prices and is now named Bistro 1777 after the History of the pub.
