The Church opened on 1 August 2025 and is a superb conversion of two former church buildings that has respected and highlighted many original features.
The smaller building, to the left, is the restaurant and bar. The magnificent bar is made from pew ends along the front with former pew seats forming the counter. There is an array of craft taps along the back wall (e.g. Attic, Beavertown, Camden, Tiny Rebel) and two handpulls on the bar serve local cask beers.
The main area is laid out for dining. Superior food is offered, with vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options (see menus on the website and Facebook) and a specials board. Booking is very much recommended to be sure of securing a table.
Non-diners will always be welcome, with seating (subject to availability) at high tables and in a mezzanine above the bar. At the other end, a grand piano sits above the diners.
At the front is a pleasant outdoor area for enjoying drinks, out of sight from the road with an outdoor bar and shelter, and there is also a beer garden at the back.
The larger building on the right - the main church - is hoped to open in spring 2026 as a venue hosting live music, comedy, weddings and many other events, also retaining many of the original features.
