Claimed to date from 1485, and formerly called the Naked Boy, this ancient inn abounds with historical connections - including the Civil War, magistrates' courts, and Tom Spring the prize-fighter. The emphasis is very much on locally-sourced fine dining, but the main bar has a large locals' table and drinkers are welcome.
