The sports club is home to Lichfield Cricket Club (1843), Lichfield Hockey Club (1961) and Whittington Rugby Club. In addition the club hosts junior football, schools sports, a cyclo-cross club, a croquet group, a bowls group, textiles group, martial arts group, art group and a salsa class. An extension is underway to accommodate Liberty Jamboree, a charity providing services to 8-35 year olds with SEND/SEMH and Neurodiverse barriers.

Members have the use of an upstairs room. Visitors are welcome except when functions are taking place. Two cask ales are served during the winter and one during the summer.

The club is registered as a Community Amateur Sports Club and a company limited by guarantee without shareholders.
