Formerly at the side of the Crown Hotel, the landlord Chris has moved up the road to new premises in August 2023. The Wren retains its strong 'local' tradition with nearly everything sourced within Staffordshire. Though there is a small selection of Belgian beers (including a draft fruit beer). The pub is extensively done out in a rather quirky style with one main room and a separate snug area looking out onto the street. Live music is a must here with a small dedicated stage in the main area, gigs are on most Friday and Sunday nights. Musicians are welcome to try out the numerous instruments dotted around the pub. The pub is a quarter mile walk from the Trent & Mersey Canal
