See more about this pub on WhatPub, CAMRA's national pub guide.
Small corner pub opposite the church. It was a pub before being becoming a shop and then became a pub again. The bar is adorned with pictures and biographies of famous Wemians. Refurbished in early 2024 with the intention of creating a pub atmosphere, previously it has gained a dart board and fruit machine. A friendly atmosphere prevails. There is a large screen TV, but it is very rarely on. The bar is furnished with wooden tables and comfortable seating. Only one real ale is served at presenet usually from a Shropshire brewery, but Robinson's Citra appears from time to time. Real ale is sometimes unavailable, especially if it has been busy. One of the two handpumps has not been working for some time. They are having trouble finding someone to fix it. It may close before 11pm if custom is lacking.
