Regional Mild Ale Trail 2022

Sat May 21st, Stafford

. Most of the pubs have disabled access the exceptions being The Railway, being an older pub when regulations were different There are a few steps and a narrow turn to negotiate. Slater's micropub simply has no room for a downstairs or dedicated disabled loo.

There are frequent trains to Stafford and the station is just a few minutes walk from the town centre. Branch members, wearing our “Make Mine Mild” badges will be in the station concourse to meet and greet with trail leaflet and badges and will act as guides if you want to walk to the furthest pubs and work your way back to the centre. Longest walk is to The Greyhound (worth it) 10-15 mins at an easy pace.

Note. Do please pick up a trail leaflet on the day as, almost inevitably, there will be some last minute changes

Buses in and out of Stafford (shewn in red on map) will stop in Chell Road, Gaol Square or opposite the railway station. Most services can also be picked up in front of The Sun.

The two closest pubs to the station are (1) The Railway, turn L out of the station and follow the road parallel to the tracks to a sharp right, pub is in front of you round this corner (2) Bird in Hand, out of the station, cross road and carry straight on along Victoria Road with the park to your R. At the junction cross and keep going in the same direction through the pedestrian area and BiH will be in front of you.
