Independent 17th century country inn, refurbished to a modern clean look, located just off the A53 Leek to Buxton road, and well sign-posted. Home-cooked food using locally sourced produce is available including vegan and vegetarian friendly dishes. Draught Bass and Timothy Taylor Landlord are always on, plus two rotating cask ales which change week to week. The hikers bar is found at the rear of the pub for walkers and their dogs.
