Milking ParlourUnit 1, Southwood House Farm, Staunton Lane
See more about this pub on WhatPub, CAMRA's national pub guide.
New on-site Tollgate Brewery tap (opened July 2020) in converted former dairy shed. The single rectangular room has a bar counter near the entrance and features exposed joists and rafters, a concrete floor with a lengthways step up to some retained stalls with concrete partitions, and a wood-burning stove. There is a bottle shop at the end opposite the bar.
A small barn on the edge of the courtyard, the Cow Shed, provides an overspill covered drinking area.
There is wheelchair access to most of the premises, including the bar, but there are no 'accessible' toilets; the toilets are portable units at the edge of the car park.
A 'street food' stall is often available on Friday and Saturdays - see Facebook page for details and times.
The premises are part of the National Trust Calke Abbey Estate, but located just outside Calke Park itself. Obviously cyclists and walkers are welcome!
The adjacent National Trust owned Southwood House Farm (with 7 double/twin bedrooms) is available for hire.
