Long narow bar opened 2015, ther rear of which abuts the castle walls, In addition to four handpumps serving an ever ever changing range of cask beers of all varieties, there are many keg taps serving beers from near and far including sours, porters and strong beers. Prices can reflect the strength and rarity of the beers sold. In addition, a range of boxed ciders are seved and there are fridges stocked with cannned beers availabkle to drink in or take away. Important sporting events are sometimes shown on TV. Food is not available in the pub itself, but can be brought in from Beer & Burger opposite the nearby rasilway station which is in the same ownership. The hours shown here are actual serving times, the times showm at the front of the pub are when the doors are locked.
