Pub closed and boarded up, surrounded by hoardings (Aug 2023). 1980s estate pub purpose-built by Robinsons to cope with the new influx of residents. The name comes from James Brindley's original prototype canal lock, which was discovered during construction and now lies under the car park. A single, open-plan room inside, with a games area at the rear and a small restaurant under the conservatory dome.
