February 2023 - planning permission has been submitted for conversion into a childrens nursery following no interest in renting/purchasing the premises as a pub.

In January 2019 the pub closed, after the licencee had tried to make it work for the community. It has remained closed, althouhg in June 2019, Beer & More who own the pub said they were still looking to retain it as a pub.

Traditional roadside local, built in the 1930's, with a large lounge and smaller bar, although the latter is rarely used these day. Note the interesting floor tiling in the bar, and there is a dartboard in the lounge.
