Close to Rugeley Trent Valley railway station, just north of the River Trent, this classic pub re-opened as a free-house in 2007 after a short period of closure, and has flourished ever since. While much of the pub is set aside for dining, casual drinkers are welcome in the elegant bar (formerly known as the Oak Room). Lunchtime (including snacks), a la carte, Sunday lunch and children's menus are available. The bar may close early if minimal custom.
