Opened Late Spring 2016. The Grapes Hotel is a 17th Century Inn formally a Merchants house, situated in the heart of the historic Market Place of Longnor. A modern rustic approach in both décor and food. Split between an open main bar area and a cosy room tucked around the back with a roaring fire. Serving local cask ales, craft beer and fine wines supplied locally. Light snacks always available including pork pies and is always produced from local suppliers. Situated in the White Peak, Longnor is an ideal starting point to explore nearby Chrome and Parkside Hills which are some of the most photographed spots in the Peak District, returning to the Grapes for a well earned pint. All are warmly welcomed, especially those with muddy boots, dogs and children. Mobile phone coverage is almost non-existent in the village but there is free Wi-Fi if you ask for the code. Accommodation is limited in the village itself but there are B&Bs scattered around inc. Longnor Wood holiday park about 2km from the pub with wooden lodges, caravan and camping facilities. The Ashbourne-Longnor-Buxton bus stops right outside the Grapes linking to the rail network and passing through some stunningly beautiful countryside.
